BATH LOGS softwood takes approximately 25-30 years to mature and grow, the timber is less dense than our Hardood Logs. Trees include Pine, Larch, Spruce and Douglas Fir etc. BATH LOGS soft wood is Locally sourced from woodlands and forestries . A fire built from our softwoods burns very hot. It will have larger flames that crackle. Our softwoods are easy to light. Bath Logs Softwood fire logs are open fireplaces, brilliant for campfires and firepits and can be used in log burners. They also work great when mixed with hardwood to help freshen up a slow burning fire.

We deliver to Bath, Bristol and surrounding areas. Our delivery times are Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm and 9-5 on Sundays. The quality of seasoning (moisture content) is one of the key determining factors for firewood quality, as it affects it’s calorific value, ease of combustion and storage. If the wood is too wet, the efficiency is reduced, as some of the heat from the fire is being used to drive off the moisture. If the wood is too dry, it will burn too fast. The calorific value(CV) is expressed in kWh and is the amount of energy (heat) encapsulated in the wood for a given weight. It increases as moisture content decreases. It is a measure of the energy content of a fuel, and p/kWhso is used to compare cost-effectiveness between fuels.
